Congratulations to AYD judoka Devon Carter, who earned his yellow belt this evening! He's already competed in two sanctioned tournaments, winning gold and silver medals. He's pictured with his father, Tyrone Carter (L), an AYD alumnus and judo athelete; and Donnie Black (R), also an AYD alum and coordinator of AYD Judo. Nice work, fellas!

AYD wrapped up the fourth year of our Winter Sports Program this past Sunday. This five-week series of skiing and snowboarding lessons – plus classes on careers in the outdoor recreation and resort industries – were made possible by Vail Resorts Epic Promise Foundation and Seven Springs Mountain Resort. Pictured here are five of our AYD students who completed all five sessions.

Back in the swing of things: AYD middle schoolers began the 18th year of our golf partnership with First Tee - Pittsburgh this month. We’ll sharpen our skills this winter on their indoor simulators and putting greens so that we’ll be ready to tee off on their outdoor facilities as soon as warm weather arrives. See you on the links!
