Quite an eventful week in Oakland. With the kids not having school on Election Day, we happily waited in line to get our last licks of Dave and Andy’s in before they say good-bye on Sunday. A rather bittersweet moment, since I’ve been bringing them here since my kids were toddlers and also have been serving their ice cream at Spice for many years. They are both teens now and I am delighted that they got to experience really the last vestige of the Oakland I knew when I was a teen. BTW, in case you were wondering, my oldest did not want their likeness on Insta, so their BFF gladly stepped in.
