One 1794 Silver Dollar specimen, known as a Flowing Hair Dollar, is considered to be one of the rarest coins in the world. This specimen was struck with a silver plug in it to correct the weight of the planchet. It is believed to be the first silver dollar struck by the United States Mint and sold at auction for $10 Million.
