Our woman of the week is the phenomenal . She was the first Black woman to serve as the First Lady of the United States of America from 2009-2017. In her role as First Lady, she focused her attention on social justice issues such as poverty, healthy lifestyle, and education. She is a Chicago native and an alumna to two prestigious Ivy League colleges Princeton and Harvard University. She earned her Bachelors in Sociology and her law degree from Harvard. Beyond her role as the First Lady, she is also a wife, mother, writer and lawyer.

Award-winning actress and director is our woman of the week! Regina has played roles in classic movies such as Poetic Justice, Friday, Boyz in the Hood and many more. The Los Angeles native is an advocate of the Foundation.She said “Being an L.A. girl and knowing how hard it is, especially for kids in public schools, to make it to college. They are doing all that they can to help kids that are not as privileged get through high school and go on to college.” Regina also
provided the voices for the characters Huey and Riley freeman in The Boondocks. In 2019, named her one of the 100 most influential people in the world.
