Jon Cowles, Vice President of Sales for WL Port-Land, comments on his recent trip to Washington, D.C.:
“It was an honor to join my fellow American Feed Industry Association (AFIA) Board members in Washington, D.C., a few weeks ago to meet with congressional offices and advocate for policies that support the U.S. animal food industry. Our discussions focused on key priorities including feed innovation, supply chain resilience, regulatory modernization, trade, and agricultural competitiveness—issues that directly impact animal food manufacturers and the broader food supply chain.
As VP of Sales for WL Port-Land Systems and a member of the AFIA Board of Directors, I am proud to help represent an industry that plays a critical role in feeding animals and supporting a safe, sustainable, and secure food system. Thank you to the congressional staff and leaders who took the time to meet with us and engage in meaningful conversations about the future of agriculture and animal nutrition.”
