Well now! That was a fair bit O fun! Thanks to the good folks at Poetry Lounge for having us...what it was. 🤣 For those not playing along on the home version, well pulled off a semi-quasi Rowdy Bovines reunion of sorts! James' band (Special When Lit) invited me to do a few songs, as well as a bunch of old Bovines nuggets. Blair and Dean were kind enough to back me on Rumble, I'm Gonna Tell, Don't You Lie To Me, and Too Tired (1st time I've pulled that off!), then we brought James up and knocked out some of the Bovines stuff. If you missed it, shame on ya! This doesn't happen often - but I'll say we still got it! Who knows, maybe you'll see us again sometime. No guarantees. Talked to a few folks about maybe starting something new - but you know me, I'm in no major rush! Until next time...To err is human, to be rowdy is ______! 😎

I had been planning to release this instrumental collection globally - but the Orange Idiot is screwing up the music business as well as everything else. At the current time, global mail carriers are suspending deliveries to the United States because of uncertainty surrounding new tariffs, following President Trump's executive order to end the "de minimis" exemption for duty-free packages, which takes effect on August 29th, 2025. Postal services are halting shipments due to confusion over the new rules and their unclear implementation, leading to order cancellations for U.S. shoppers.
I don't create music 'for profit', although I won't say NO to the income. Like any other musician out there, I'd like my music to be heard. This collection covers the past 35 years. There are songs you might know or remember, as well as songs you might have missed, and others you've never heard. The 1st copy had been sent to Europe, but according to a text from the USPS it's been denied entry into the receiving country due to the ongoing confusion surrounding the tariff situation.
It's important to me that you have the choice to listen to my music (or not). So, here's the full disc in its entirety. All 25 songs. I hope there's something in here that you enjoy, and better still, inspires you. Thanks for listening! - MM

You can file this under 21st Century Yinzerbilly (IF you feel the need to file it anywhere). Last fall I started working on some new 'stuff'. New (to me) rhythm section, some new tunes, etc. It was sounding good, but the universe has its own plans. Life was throwing each of us some big ol' curve balls...and it just never happened. We had our 1st gig booked - drummer ended up with COVID, bass player had a stomach bug (which I understand had him pretty much throne-bound for a while). So, I ended up doing it as a solo gig. When in doubt, pull a rabbit outta the ol' hat. Or some old blues, rockabilly, and whatever. Anyhoo, had the band continued it would've sounded something like this. The image is what AI imagines we would've looked like. Personally, I don't ever recall looking like the lovechild of Boxcar Willie and Bocephus...but hey, maybe with all the digital information, AI knows something I don't.
We managed to release one song ("Hoodoo Riddim", which yinz can find on ye olde YouTube). We recorded this one, and a handful of others...but they've yet to be properly finished. This is from a rehearsal (with some added background noise that I added for a bit of promo at the time). Enjoy! Or not. Up to yinz. 😎
