Let’s talk about 5 lesser-known symptoms of endometriosis!

Endometriosis affects about 10% of women and girls, but it’s often misunderstood or misdiagnosed. While many people know it can cause painful periods, there’s much more to the story.

Here are a few lesser-known symptoms:

1️⃣ Gastrointestinal Problems: Endometriosis can impact your digestive system too. Bloating, gas, cramps, and even painful bowel movements are common, especially around your period.

2️⃣ Nerve Pain: Endometriosis lesions can pull on or even attack nerves, causing sharp, shooting pains, especially during physical activity.

3️⃣ Fatigue: Studies suggest that inflammation from endometrial lesions can lead to chronic fatigue, with up to 50% of women with endo experiencing this symptom.

4️⃣ Painful S*x or Ovulation: Many women with endo experience discomfort during or after s*x, as well as during ovulation. Pain can show up as cramping, hip pain, or even back pain.

5️⃣ Premenstrual Spotting: Light spotting that starts a few days before your period can be another sign of endometriosis. Charting your cycle can help you identify this pattern.

If any of these symptoms sound familiar, you’re not alone—and there are options for managing endometriosis. Want to learn more about how charting your cycle can help you understand and manage endometriosis symptoms? Check out the link in our bio for resources and support!
