At 6:30 am, this day 79 years ago, nearly 160,000 Allied troops landed in Normandy on June 6, 1944. Of those, 73,000 were from the United States, 83,000 from Britain and Canada. Forces from several other countries were also involved, including French troops fighting with Gen. Charles de Gaulle against the N**i occupation.

NATIONAL DOUGHNUT (DONUT) DAY on the 1st Friday in June, honoring the Salvation Army Lassies who served doughnuts to soldiers during WWI.
In 1917, the original “Salvation Army Doughnut” was first served by the ladies of the Salvation Army.
You should have your gutters checked, at least twice a year; Spring and fall. Clogged gutters can lead to severe water damage that can decrease the value of your home.
