Students participating in the English & Culture Program and the International Summer Piano Camp at Pittsburg State University enjoyed an exciting day exploring Kansas City on Sunday. Joined by several current Pitt State students, the group visited the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, explored Union Station, and attended the FIFA Fan Festival, where they watched the Brazil vs. Norway and Mexico vs. England matches.

The day provided participants with an opportunity to experience the culture, history, and excitement of one of the region's most vibrant cities while building friendships and creating lasting memories. The participants were incredibly appreciative of the experience and expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to explore Kansas City together.

THIS FRIDAY: A recital featuring performances by the students in the 2026 International Piano & English Summer Camp will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 10, in McCray Hall. Their recital is free and open to the campus and community.

The students, all from the UNAM University in Mexico City, are spending two immersive weeks in Pittsburg, Kansas, developing piano performance skills, improving English, and experiencing American campus life. Participants have been studying with world-class faculty, taking daily piano and English classes, and enjoying cultural activities and excursions throughout the program.
