Concrete Canoe Placement Day 2013 - ASCE members secure the final concrete placement boards to assist drying cohesion before removing them to ensure a uniform thickness of 1/2 in. along the 18 ft. canoe. With over 30 supporters and roughly 2 hours of work, the group placed the fiberglass reinforcement between two 1/4 in. smooth concrete layers. Once the concrete dries and the final paint design is applied, Rutgers ASCE Concrete Canoe Team will be looking forward to another successful regional competition in April. Thank you to everyone who came to help!
