Old School Tar Paper house wrap. Manufacturing of asphalt felt began over a hundred years ago. Initially, cloth felt, which came from recycled cotton rags, was used to make asphalt felt. Today, asphalt felt is made from a mixture of sawdust and recycled corrugated paper. PROS: absorbs water well and slowly evaporate the moisture to the exterior. CONS: easy to tear and easily becomes brittle.

We struck oil…or water in this case. Water provides important support throughout the construction process. Need to wash that sawdust out of your eyes. Have a fire you need to extinguish. Or do you just need to cool down from a hot day. Water is your friend. Don’t overlook it.
