One of the biggest mistakes smokers make is judging a quit attempt by only one thing:

"Did I quit forever?"

But that's not the only outcome that matters.

Even the "worst" quit attempt can:

✅ Teach you how your triggers work

✅ Help you discover which quit medications help (and which don't)

✅ Build confidence that you can go longer than you thought

✅ Give you another swing at becoming a nonsmoker

And even if you return to smoking, you're not back where you started.

You now know something you didn't know before.

You're practicing a skill.

You're collecting experience.

You're moving closer to becoming a nonsmoker.

The goal isn't to judge every quit attempt by the final score.

The goal is to keep getting at-bats.

Focus on the attempt.

The outcome will take care of itself.
