Tomorrow evening the Pinole City Council is holding a special council meeting regarding the future of fire services in Pinole and the potential reopening of Fire Station 74 in Pinole Valley. The recommendation is to enter into a Contract for Services with Contra Costa County Fire Protection District. Your Firefighters unanimously support this recommendation. The contract for services agreement will greatly improve emergency services, response times, public & firefighter safety in Pinole and surrounding areas with the reopening of Engine Company 74. This contract provides an equitable, sustainable and responsible solution to inadequate fire services which Pinole has experienced since the closure of Fire Station 74 in 2011.
See attached link for tomorrow’s meeting agenda/packet for details.
