Soooo…… apparently it is “against State Farm guidelines” to inspect seatbelts after a collision 🤔 even though the manufacturer of the vehicle (you know the people that designed and tested it) says to inspect them after ANY collision…..
What does the motoring public think? Should it be done? Do you have them for insurance, maybe ask why have a guideline that is against the safety of you and your family.

Insides of fenders, bed sides, quarter panels, etc new panels come with a thin porous coating to protect the metal till it is painted. This is usually black so not only will it eventually rust if left unpainted and it will not match and will obviously not be “pre loss condition”. Us along with shops all over the country apply epoxy primer then color match the panel to the original part that came off. This is a necessary step for a quality repair. Yes we also have to charge for this process but luckily it doesn’t add much to a bill but is a great value and if not done it could very much diminish the value of your vehicle along with the durability.
There are shops out there that don’t do this. Some dont know any better and some may not even care, It is unfortunate for consumers in those situations. The last two photos are of the inside of a panel that was replaced by another shop that didn’t do this and you can tell how rusted it is. I used to keep this panel to help educate people on the process and why it is necessary.

A 10 day old truck and all they will pay for is parts from a junkyard 🤦🏼♂️ what’s in your wallet… I mean who’s your neighbor? Or something like that. We have a vehicle in our shop right now that State Farm only wants to put a junkyard radiator and condenser in…. A Junkyard Radiator!!! Even the Agent didn’t agree with it but claims said we don’t care what you say either. The customer agreed that there is no way he would want a Junkyard radiator and condenser in their vehicle and is paying the difference to get a new one but why should they have to. This insurance company is getting laughable🤣
