Huron River Chain Kayak Rentals

It was a beautiful day on the river yesterday.
Took out the Bote Breeze Gatorshell 10’6” Cypress Classic yesterday for its inaugural paddle. It’s my first hardshell board and it paddles nicely. Tracks smoothly. Has a single rear fin which, compared to the 3 rear fin designs, will get pushed a bit more by the boat wakes. On this slow, easy river though it is not a problem. I oaddled up the river then let it float me back down and it was the perfect relaxation method. Suns out, Bote’s out!

This beautiful paddleboard is also available to rent for a few hours or for the day. There’s an inflatable to pair with it for a friend.

We include dry boxes for your phones, life jackets, and paddles (but you’ll mostly peddle).

Bring a waterproof Bluetooth speaker, a towel, sunscreen, snacks and drinks, an you’ll have everything you need for a beautiful day. 😎

It was a hot day yesterday so there was not a lot of wildlife out and about. Although there was a deer that I spooked as I brought the kayak down the dock. This heron was just standing there soaking up the sun.

With today’s overcast skies it’s more likely to see these birds in flight.
