Hold Up Pairs of Shoes on Hooks

Often, you can track a family member's daily routine by the articles of clothing in your home (and the weird places they end up). For instance, shoes are always littered in the entryway and first room of your home. Encourage better behavior by using coat racks to hold pairs of shoes. It's one less thing to trip over at least.

Use the "One In, One Out" Rule

Collecting eventually leads to clutter and chaos. When something comes into your home something needs to leave. Be it a toy, clothes, kitchen items, linens, furniture. Send an unused item to the donation bin or trash can.

When buying something new I say to myself do I love this item enough to rid my home of an old item.
