Sometimes we do not know where to begin. Sometimes the weight of everything we are carrying is so heavy that we cannot even find the words to bring to God. If that is where you are today, this prayer is for you.

Heavenly Father,

I come to You today not because I have it all together, but because I know that You do.
I am tired, Lord. I am weary from carrying things that were never mine to carry alone. I am anxious about things I cannot control. I am hurting in places I have not even fully admitted to myself.

But today I choose to lay it all down at Your feet.

I surrender my worry. I surrender my fear. I surrender the outcomes I have been white-knuckling and the plans I have been trying to force into place.

Remind me today that You are God and I am not, and that is the greatest news I could ever receive.

Fill me with Your peace that passes all understanding. Quiet the noise in my mind. Restore the joy that this season has stolen from me. And help me to trust You more deeply than I ever have before.

You have never once let me go. And I trust that You never will.

In Jesus' name. Amen
