AHS graduates for Class of 2026 walk stage together
A small sea of red-clad graduates filled the front rows of the University of North Texas Coliseum on Sunday evening, ready to receive their diplomas.
Aubrey's Class of 2026 and their loved ones were welcomed by Senior Class President Isabella Duncan, who opened the event with an invocation.
'Tonight, we thank you for every lesson learned, every friendship made and every person who helped guide us to this milestone,' she said. 'Thank you for being with us through the challenges, victories and memories that shaped us into who we are today.'

A memorial sits west of Hub Clark Road on FM 455 honoring the life of Shane Mozingo, a 34-year-old man from Sanger.
The tribute, which includes flowers, plaques with his name and a motorcycle rider image, and things he enjoyed in life, resulted from a three-vehicle accident that claimed Shane’s life on Saturday morning.
“He loved the beach,” she said. “He loved motorcycles, absolutely. He loved plants and flowers, all kinds. We had huge gardens. He was just a really genuine person,” said Shane’s wife, Tara Mozingo.

Tioga ISD will likely owe money to the state again this year, as it is likely to be paid about $500,000 - $600,000 more than it should receive based on actual enrollment numbers for the 2025-26 school year.
Despite that, the district is “headed down a good surplus budget track again,” Superintendent Josh Ballinger said to the board at the Monday evening school board meeting.
“For the first time in a couple of years we are going to owe back at settle-up, but that’s because, as I’ve advertised over and over, we were predicted on the state scale to be at 645 [in enrollment],” Ballinger said. “We’re going to end at about 575.”
