We have downsized our operation here at LTR Dressage and we have a lot of top quality equipment available. We have saddles, bridles, and girths by Custom Saddlery, Passier, and Tota Comfort System. Snaffle and curb bits by Herm Sprenger. Blankets as well. All types and all sizes available (pony to XXL)! We also have a lot of saddle pads--plain and sheepskin lined. If you or anyone you know needs some good quality equipment at very friendly prices please get in touch with Julie at [email protected].

Happy birthday to our good friend Connie Napier! She is celebrating a milestone birthday this year. This is a photo of Connie with her beloved Lippizan Tropina after they performed their Century Ride together. I am looking forward to helping Connie with another Century ride in the future and the entire LTR family wishes her a happy birthday with many returns!

The LTR Team had a great time at the Region 9 Championships in Katy last week! Congratulations to everyone who worked hard to qualify and compete. We are so proud of our team—here are the highlights:
Congratulations to our team leader, Lyndon Rife, and his own Holsteiner gelding Conflorsan. The duo earned the GAIG Intermediate I Freestyle Championship, the GAIG Open Intermediate I Reserve Championship, and placed fourth in the SWDC Open Intermediate I. Elisabeth Dewar and Don Darling earned the Adult Amateur GAIG and SWDC Prix St George Championship, they also earned the SWDC Championship and third place in the GAIG class at Intermediate I. Rachel Pennington earned the SWDC Fourth Level Amateur Reserve Championship and placed 7th in the GAIG Championship class with the Hanoverian mare SPS Soraja. Sarah Samaan and Kiera won an open show Prix St George class and picked up the SWDC Bronze Medal by placing third in the Amateur Prix St George Championship. Mary Beth Henderson and Noble Fellini placed sixth in the GAIG Amateur Prix St George Championship and fifth in the SWDC Intermediate I Amateur Championship. Caryn Bloom and Achilles picked up an open show blue for their Third Level Freestyle and placed fifth in the SWDC Open Third Level Freestyle Championship. Carola Amner joined the LTR Team for the first time and put in competitive tests with consistent improvement at Training level in the open show and the Amateur GAIG and SWDC championship classes with her Hanoverian gelding Stay Cool. Virginia Beshirs and Belinda picked up valuable experience and improved each test in their first competition at training level!

It was a long and great week. We are very proud of all the horses and riders. Between the move to our new property in the spring and finishing construction projects over the unforgiving summer it has been a challenging year. We are thankful for the opportunity to do the work that we love and to have such dedicated clients and hard-working staff. Special thanks to Emma Winter for all of her hard work and to Nisse and Tegan Pedigo for signing on to help care for all of us. Thanks to the Houston Dressage Society for organizing another great Championship competition and to the Great Southwest Equestrian Center for supporting dressage.
