It's finally summer, so that means it's Art Camp time! I'm having TWO camps this summer, in July and August. Last summer, we had a great time and created a lot of art work. I have new projects planned for this summer; fun things to challenge and help your budding artist grow. Any child attending one of the camps will receive early information about my after school art classes starting this Fall. Please share this post with your friends :) Stay cool!

Posting on FB every 7 weeks will NOT be my modus operandi in the new year! I think it's called "working the kinks out" of my new business, and I'm having a ball! I love being on Main Street of this beautiful small town, I love my clients that are keeping me busy, and I love that I'm learning new things everyday. You CAN teach an old dog new tricks :) An update to this new venture.....

A little update on my new studio....
I'll be transitioning from my home office to my new office on Main Street starting tomorrow, working on design jobs, and getting everything in it's place. So for the next few days, I'll be in and out, but welcome visitors anytime. I will have an official Open House the week of October 13 (fyi, that's Columbus Day, charting new waters and all that.....yes, corny:). I'll have lots of surprise giveaways during my Open House, so I hope everyone can stop by during that week, if not before. I would appreciate prayers for my new venture. God has paved the way in every facet, and I'll give Him all the honor and credit.

GRAND OPENING - OCTOBER 1st!

I've had lots of people stop by my new shop on Main Street in the last few weeks while we've been remodeling asking, "When is the big day?" Answer: October 1st! Please stop by and visit. Several people have asked, "What do you do?" There is a multi-faceted answer for this:

GRAPHIC DESIGN / FREELANCE DESIGN - I've been a Designer/Art Director for 25 years, working in the advertising industry. I'm bringing that experience and adding in small town service and less add-on fees than you'll get with a big agency. Great, customized work that fits small business budgets. Logos, Print Advertising (brochures, annual reports, posters, business cards & stationery), Web Design and Marketing are a few of the services that I offer. I have a passion for great design!

ART & VINE Painting Parties - I've recently purchased this business from a friend, and will be moving it into my shop down the street from it's original location. Plenty of room and atmosphere to relax and release your inner creativity! Have a glass of wine, listen to good music, and create your own masterpiece. I'm booking now, including birthday parties. I have a passion for painting & individual expression!

ART EDUCATION - Working as a substitute teacher has brought me such fulfillment and admiration for the teaching profession. I also see a need for extracurricular art education. I'll be teaching small group lessons on a weekly basis, as well as specialized workshops for children and adults. I have a passion for children realizing their potential through the arts!

CALLIGRAPHY & FINE ART - I also paint (customized artwork to fit any decor) and create original works. I have a passion for hand-lettering and calligraphy and use this in my design work frequently. Calligraphy lessons will be added to my art education menu soon. I have a passion for typography & expressing myself creatively!

Thank you for all of the support I've received so far in my new venture. I'm excited to be on Main Street and offering my services to our community.

Attention parents of art camp kids coming tomorrow - please make sure to bring your child's registration if you haven't sent it in yet. Dress your child comfortably and in clothes they can be messy in :) Remember, Grades K-3 Session from 9am-12, Grades 4-8 Session 1pm-4pm. It's going to be a great week! Making art is fun....and fulfilling...and therapeutic.... and energizing..... and did I mention FUN?
