Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Lance Fravel with Midwest Construction, a new member of the Pierre Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors! 🎉 Here are a few words from Lance:

"My name is Lance Fravel, and I’m proud to be a lifelong member of the Pierre area. My family’s roots run deep in central South Dakota, with my great‑grandparents homesteading in western and northern Stanley County in the early 1900s. I graduated from Stanley County High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Wyoming.

After college, my wife, Megan (Ulmen) Fravel-Pierre HS Grad, and I moved to western Colorado, where I worked as a civil engineer for a land development firm and she served as a nurse in a pediatric clinic. We welcomed our first child, Lawson, in 2010, and soon after made the decision to return home to Pierre to be closer to family and welcomed our daughter, Myah, born in 2011.

Back in South Dakota, I spent several years with the SD Department of Health as a Medical Facilities Engineer, traveling statewide to review hospitals and long‑term care facilities. While I valued that work, my passion has always been development and construction. In 2018, I joined Midwest Construction as a Project Manager, where I’ve had the privilege of helping shape both commercial and residential growth throughout the Pierre area.

I care deeply about this community and take pride in seeing new residents and visitors embrace the central South Dakota lifestyle. I’m honored to serve on the Board and look forward to helping promote “Pierradise” we all know and love!"
