ViTrox Successfully Concludes Seminar Campinas: PENANG, MALAYSIA — ViTrox, which aims to be the World’s Most Trusted Technology Company in providing innovative, advanced, and cost-effective automated Machine Vision Inspection Solutions for the semiconductor and electronics packaging industries, successfully concluded the Seminar Campinas 2026 on June 18, 2026. Hosted at the scenic Rooftop Alphaville in Brazil in close collaboration with ASMPT and Hitronix, the full-day event drew an exclusive crowd of industry professionals eager to pioneer the future of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) process optimization.
This event successfully brought together 76 participants representing 37 leading electronics manufacturing companies across Brazil. The high turnout and vibrant energy underscored a rapidly growing demand within the Brazilian manufacturing sector for smarter, more connected production solutions and advanced inspection capabilities.
ASMPT initiated the session by sharing critical strategies on manufacturing flow improvement, demonstrating how seamless equipment integration and stricter process control can drastically minimize production inefficiencies.
Following this, ViTrox's representative, South America Sales and Support Manager, Mr Guilherme Pereira, introduced the audience to an end-to-end AI-Driven Inspection Ecosystem, sparking immense interest with its promise of a "Process Self-healing Line". He highlighted the game-changing AI capabilities embedded across ViTrox’s premier solutions lineup:
*
Smart 3D Solder Paste Inspection (SPI): Features high-precision 3D measurement capabilities to catch critical printing defects—such as insufficient or misaligned paste—at the earliest possible stage.
*
Smart 3D Automated Optical Inspection (AOI): Showcases groundbreaking AI Smart Programming compliant with IPC standards that yields up to 90% programming time savings, AI Recipe Quality Control (QC) utilizing Generative AI for algorithm validation, and AI Auto Buy-off through AI-powered Verification Tool Solutions (AI VVTS) to achieve a ~70% labor reduction.
*
Smart 3D Automated X-ray Inspection (AXI): Combines AI Intelligent Tuning and advanced AI Inspection to intelligently classify defects within complicated, multi-shaded backgrounds, vastly minimizing false calls.
*
Smart Robotic Optical System (ARV): Offers a versatile 2-in-1 system configured with a 6-axis collaborative robot (Cobot) arm for flexible, multi-angle conformal coating and final assembly inspection.
These smart manufacturing solutions are linked to ViTrox’s Manufacturing Intelligence Solutions Towards Industry 5.0 – V-ONE. Through powerful data modules like ONE View—which provides upstream cross-referencing of real-time images at buy-off stations—and Process Insight, which triggers auto-ticketing and comprehensive root-cause analysis when defect conditions are met, the ecosystem guarantees seamless data connectivity and true closed-loop control. Ultimately, this comprehensive integration enables manufacturers to reduce human error, accurately detect defects early, optimize process performance, and maintain consistent product quality across every production stage.
In addition, the seminar featured a dedicated session on ViTrox's VisionXpert XC Series - Smart Camera solution by Mr Patrick Franco, who shared valuable insights into how intelligent vision technologies can help manufacturers improve operational efficiency, quality control, and process visibility, delivering an impactful presentation.
The event achieved strong attendee engagement, generating positive feedback on the quality of the presentations and overall organisation alongside overwhelming interest in the showcased technologies. This led to several potential opportunities across ViTrox's Smart 3D AXI, AOI, SPI, and Smart Camera solutions, reflecting the growing demand for AI-driven inspection and smart manufacturing technologies in Brazil.
This seminar further strengthens ViTrox’s expanding footprint in South America, proving that the Brazilian manufacturing market is ready to embrace the next generation of AI-driven, autonomous inspection technology.

Metal Etch Installs NEVIS Stencil Laser System: SAN MARCOS, CA — Metal Etch Services, Inc. has installed a Watt NEVIS stencil laser platform at its Metal Etch Services Motor City facility in Detroit, Michigan—the first system of its kind operating in the United States.
The investment comes as stencil requirements continue to tighten, especially for customers working with fine-pitch components and high-density PCB designs. The NEVIS platform is built for that shift, giving Metal Etch the ability to cut ultra-thin materials with a higher level of consistency across even the most complex aperture designs.
For customers, that shows up where it matters—on the line. More consistent apertures mean more consistent paste release, which helps reduce variation, improve yields, and cut down on the kind of defects that slow production.
The system also brings speed without giving up control. With continuous Z-height monitoring and optimized laser parameters, NEVIS holds tight tolerances while running at higher throughput. That allows Metal Etch to move jobs through faster, helping customers hit tighter deadlines without sacrificing stencil quality.
Setup and repeatability are also more streamlined. Automated fixturing and integrated software tools reduce setup time and help ensure each job runs the way it’s supposed to—especially important for customers running multiple revisions or high-mix production.
“This is about staying ahead of where our customers are going,” said Elias Malfavon, President, Metal Etch Services. “Boards aren’t getting any simpler, and stencil performance plays a bigger role than ever. Bringing in NEVIS gives us another level of control and consistency that our customers will see right away.”
The installation is part of the company’s broader expansion into the Midwest, giving customers in the region faster access to advanced stencil manufacturing without the delays of cross-country logistics.
