Phoenix Veterinary Center

Phoenix Veterinary Center welcomes Dr. Kimberly Alvarez and will be taking over as the lead DVM at Phoenix Veterinary Center starting June 1, 2026.

She is originally from Los Angeles, CA, graduated from Midwestern University in Phoenix, AZ in 2019 and pursued her undergraduate degree at the University of Arizona in Tucson. Now she is a local resident of South Phoenix along with her husband, daughter and beloved fur baby (Boo the cat). She has a strong interest in surgery, orthopedics and exotic animal medicine, particularly pocket pets and has a special love for Pugs and Chihuahuas.

Dr Ray will be leaving PVC at the end of May to pursue her own enterprise, focusing on her passion of palliative care and hospice medicine. Dr Ray has been with PVC for over 4 years and has been an integral part of our team and culture.

Dr Ray is one of the most generous people that I have ever met, constantly thinking and doing things for others even before herself. I have known Dr Ray for 15 years now, and her character is unwavering. Not only is she a great veterinarian, but she’s a great person. I am forever grateful, not only for her contributions, but her friendship. We will all miss Dr Ray at PVC, but we are excited to support her in her new entrepreneurial endeavors.
