Meet Olie!

Olie was a Chase Away K9 Cancer Ambassadog. He spent his life entertaining people and educating them about cancer in dogs. He lived life to the fullest, even when he ended up with cancer himself. Here is a small glipse of his story by his 'Ma' Cera -

"From an early age, he took to being an exceptional Dock Dog, and after flying off a dock and wowing the crowds in his red/white/blue caped suit, he was just as happy getting into his “Chase Away K9 Cancer” donation vest and going out into the crowds to help spread K9 cancer awareness and raise donations. For him, the best part of his day he would say was being able to make everyone smile and laugh. The number of photos that people have of Olie making their families smile are literally in the multi-thousands, is my guess over the years.

At just over 10 years old, by a miracle we found a cancerous mass in his lung and we had it removed and he recovered from it nicely and he was doing great. In the spring of 2024 his Granddaughter Score came into our lives and right from the start Olie worked his magic and shared with her some of his special ways with how to train me. Sadly my heart was shattered this past November of 2025 when cancer came calling for him again and this time I wasn’t so lucky and he lost his battle with K9 cancer.

One thing I have learned from all of my dogs is to make each and everyday count. Everyday is a gift, love and appreciate every minute of and every one of them."

Happy ! All Dog Dads have experienced that unconditional love from their best pup. Thank you for being a wonderful Dog Dad!

If you are missing your pup this Dog Dads Day, we are so sorry and hope that you will remember the great times and all the love. It is what we hold on to after they leave us and we are better for having them as part of our lives.
