Bella is a big muscular girl with a soft heart. Volunteers and staff just love this beauty! Sadly she is hurting herself by jumping in the kennel. There has been blood all over the kennel floor.
These dogs only get out of the kennels every 7-10 days on average 😞

A volunteer recently took her out of the kennel and shared this:
“Bella pulled a bit while exiting but only gave sniffs to dogs on the way out. No aggression at all.
Once out she settled down quickly and had a very loose leash the entire time. We stopped for pets and she leaned her whole body into me and just looked at me with her amber eyes inviting more lovin’. She knows sit and paw. Took treats gently. Easy pull and return to kennel.
She is a diamond in the rough and I pray we can get her out of there.

Bella needs no training from what I can see she is just anxious and needs out. She is hurting herself too. Blood on her paws and snout. “

Sweet Star is a 3yo brindle pit bull mix who initially struggled using her back legs. But after months of physical therapy, long walks, and swimming, she walks and runs without skipping a beat. She is very affectionate and playful…and loves walks. She can be dog selective due to fear so she will need a meet and greet; however, she currently lives with another 5yo female pit bull who is her bestie! 💜🐾🐶
