Q***r Spaces

Heartstopper Season 3 launched this past Thursday, and it was overwhelmingly beautiful. So many relatable moments throughout the season deeply touched my heart.

As I watched, I couldn’t stop thinking about how important safe q***r spaces are. It doesn’t matter which letter of LGBTQIA+ you identify with—having safe spaces for our community, especially for q***r youth, is absolutely essential. These spaces should exist at our jobs, in our schools, our communities, and, most importantly, in our homes.

It’s exhausting that we still have to explain this in 2024. Yet the message remains clear: collectively, we should celebrate differences, not use them as a way to divide. This mindset is crucial for society’s progress.

Inclusion fosters healthy environments. Healthy environments lead to productive outcomes. Productive outcomes eliminate waste and create lasting impact. Do you see how focusing on inclusivity creates a compounding effect?

These athletes have been putting in a lot of time working on improving skills and cleaning up our basics for basketball season!

This morning, I woke up reflecting on wants, needs, hopes, and desires. Here are some of the thoughts that crossed my mind:

✨With all my might, I hope that everyone taking action towards their goals lands above where they expected. That when walking in our truth, we can truly say, “I am living a life beyond my wildest imagination.”

✨I hope that love continuously resounds at the forefront of all our minds and that we make it our duty to leave each place we visit and everything we touch better than we found it.

✨That fulfillment regenerates our hearts and minds when needed, and that daily we strive to embody the greatness that lives inside each one of us, taking it upon ourselves to apply that greatness in action.

✨That if plagued with tumultuous thoughts or environments, we allow peace to be the driving force toward our truth.

✨I pray that the love I give is genuine and selfless, and that I understand giving love means holding someone in the highest esteem without expectation.

✨Lastly, I hope to honor my existence by living authentically, truthfully, without fear, and grounded in abundant love.
