Deer Valley governing board member Kimberly Fisher said Tuesday that her appearing to do a N**i salute and say “heil” during a May public meeting was the result of "the dictatorship" the governing board has been under for the past three years, referring to board president Paul Carver.
Multiple members of the community called for Fisher to step down due to her actions at the May 26 meeting, with one stating that "no … child in DVUSD will feel safe until you resign.”
Deer Valley board member Stephanie Simacek called for the community to file a request for Fisher’s removal with Maricopa County, explaining the governing board cannot take action themselves.
