Bisley 2026 World Championships are approaching quickly!

We stopped selling barrel blanks a few months ago. Not because they weren't accurate, not because they don't win World Championships and National Championships, but because we lose money on them. We make sure our barrels are as close to what we call perfect as we can.

Labor cost is the main reason with the constantly rising cost of electricity and steel prices.

Labor prices, with what we need to pay our employees are much higher than some other states that barrel makers are in, so it makes it difficult to pay our employees a good living wage in Phoenix, AZ and be competitive with our barrel prices.

Even when buying thousands of pounds of 416 at a time with cost being in the tens of thousands to keep cost per unit down.

We will continue to make 7mm and 30 cal barrels for our builds and our customers that we chamber for with our actions. We will CNC chamber for our actions and we will CNC chamber non 7mm and 30 cal barrels for customers if they desire. Essentially we can recoup some of the lost money from making the barrels with the chambering.

With that said, getting messages like this makes all the extra work we put into our barrels seem worth it.

Thank you to our barrel customers over the years, we will still be making barrels, just not supplying blanks for others to chamber.
