Arizona Academic Decathlon

Our Curriculum Spotlight series has shown how subjects connect to the Roaring Twenties. From Fitzgerald’s ‘The Great Gatsby’, to the music of jazz, and the economic shifts of the era – decathletes are building knowledge that spans the arts, sciences, and humanities. We look forward to seeing their hard work shine in competition.

The social science curriculum examines the Roaring Twenties as a time of prosperity, cultural change, and conflict. Students will study urbanization, Prohibition, the Harlem Renaissance, and the social tensions that marked the decade.
