Hi, all! The Bridge Improv Theater is a place that’s near and dear to my heart and it’s become a great pillar of the valley wide improv community. The past year has been tough with several unexpected challenges that have threatened to make continuing unviable. We’re undertaking multiple efforts to ensure that the doors stay open and there are many ways for people to help!
If you’re able, please donate to the Bridge’s GoFundMe campaign: https://www.gofundme.com/f/keep-the-bridge-improv-theater-alive
One really simple and fun way is to catch a show at the Bridge (located at Mesa Riverview, just off Dobson & the 202). Shows are at 7pm and 8:30pm, every Friday and Saturday ($12 online, $15 at the door). If you’ve been saying forever that you need to catch a show, this is the zero hour to make that happen!
And of course, a really easy and free way to help is to share this post. It takes just a second!
Thank you!

GHOSTFEST 2025 is dedicated to the memory of Dr. Laurie Shellenbarger who passed earlier this month.
For nearly 20 years, Laurie was a dedicated and beloved member of the valley’s improv scene, making significant contributions of her time, energy, and talent to several improv troupes and by volunteering countless hours with Second Beat Improv Theater, The Torch Theatre, the Phoenix Improv Festival, SAVI Fest, and Ghostfest. In addition to her impact locally, she was also a part of the greater improv world through her involvement with Camp Improv Utopia.
Well known for her kindness, her warm smile, and her devotion to animal rescue efforts, she is already terribly missed and remembered fondly. We send our deepest condolences to her husband, Shane, her friends, her improv teammates, and all who loved her. Thank you so much, Laurie, for all that you brought to our lives.
