Addison asked for a lake photo session with her immediate tribe before we head out to Texas next month. I love each one of these girls for completely different reasons. And I love how they add to our lives and encourage Addie to be her best self. This was fun from the moment they got into the car, on the ride belting out country music, laughing and goofing around, almost giving me a heart attack by almost falling into the lake, a last "friendship" cheer, talking about crushes and dreams. These girls are something else. True friendship transcends distance. I am confident these friendships will last.

A little over a year ago I met one of my very dearest friends over gunshots and a rattlesnake. She has since become my confidant, my voice of truth and wisdom, my comedic relief, and so much more. We laugh and cry (well she more than I on the crying part... it's NOT a Bible Study unless Katy is crying). Our kids have become close close friends and she is one of my Sonoran peeps that is making it SUPER hard to leave AZ over. As usual, I betrothed her with a nickname.... Odie.... and I had NO clue how she would live up to that name. Odie is one of Garfield's inner circle. (Yes, I am the fat cat in this story)... Odie means Loyal friend... and she fits that nickname more than I ever knew she would. It was a pleasure and an honor to have this be one of my final sessions in the desert this season....
