Fear is the progenitor of ignorance. When you are operating in fear, the intellect is paralyzed. It is the favorite tactic of any tyrant: political, theological, sociological or psychological. Fear is a most effective weapon that has been used to control the masses since the beginning of human existence. It must be overcome if one is to retain one's ability to think.
