Last week, our Materials & Circular Economy Issue Committee gathered in person at Goodmans for an engaging conversation around material health and the impact our material choices have on both the environment and the people who interact with those spaces every day.

From indoor environmental quality to human performance and sustainability, the discussion highlighted how thoughtful material decisions can help create healthier, more resilient environments for all.

A huge thank you to Goodmans for hosting us and to everyone who joined the conversation!

As part of their final unit, our Emerging Sustainability Leaders had the opportunity to tour the Bold Reuse facility and see circular economy principles in action.

From reusable foodware systems to waste reduction strategies, the tour gave the cohort a firsthand look at how innovative solutions can help reduce single-use waste and rethink the way materials move through our communities.

Experiences like these are such an important part of the Emerging Sustainability Leaders program, connecting classroom conversations to real-world impact and introducing participants to the organizations helping shape a more sustainable Arizona.

A huge thank you to the Bold Reuse team for hosting us and sharing your work with our cohort!

Congratulations to the 2025–2026 cohort of Emerging Sustainability Leaders! 🎓🌵

Last night, we celebrated an incredible group of changemakers at our graduation celebration. Over the past year, this cohort has explored some of Arizona’s biggest sustainability challenges and opportunities while building connections across industries and communities. We cannot wait to see the impact each of them continues to make.

A huge thank you to our host, Ernst & Young, and Colin Tetrault for helping make the evening so special. Thank you as well to Randy Johnson for his inspiring remarks and encouragement to our graduates as they step into the next chapter of leadership.

And a very special thank you to Nanda, Jennifer, and Lori for their leadership, guidance, and dedication in helping host and shape this year’s program.

Interested in joining the next cohort? Applications for the 2026–2027 Emerging Sustainability Leaders program will open this July! 👏

Thank you to everyone who joined us last week for our first official Arizona Sustainability Professionals event — Pathways in Sustainability.

It was an inspiring evening of conversation, connection, and shared learning as professionals from across Arizona came together to explore the many pathways within sustainability.

A special thank you to our speakers for sharing their experiences, insights, and perspectives on how their work is helping shape Arizona’s future.

We’re also incredibly grateful to Goodmans for hosting us and creating such a welcoming space for meaningful conversation and collaboration.

One of the biggest takeaways from the evening: no matter your industry, background, or career stage, everyone has a role to play in building a more sustainable Arizona — and there is always more we can learn from one another.

Thank you again to everyone who attended and contributed to the conversation. We’re excited to continue creating spaces that bring Arizona’s sustainability community together.
