Got the chance to share Unusual Penguin with a few amazing people at Bridal Sewing by Marilyn, LLC this Friday. I was there help my dear friend Marilyn Sawran set up for her FIVE YEAR ANNIVERSARY party!!!!

FIVE YEARS. That's huge.

So often, we take for granted what a massive accomplishment it is to start a business from nothing. To begin with some skill and expertise, to add in grit and determination and a whole heck of a lot of courage and to go forward, day after day, making it happen.

Building it.

Creating a business. Creating a livelihood for yourself, your family, your team, your vendors.

Delivering experiences and services that support and delight your customers. Enhance their lives.

My gosh! The ripple effect is exponential in so many directions.

It's why I'm so passionate about business. So determined to support those who boldly pursue their dreams.

Because the fact is that 51% of businesses FAIL. FIFTY-ONE PERCENT. That means, that less than 1/2 of business make it past their first 4 1/2 years. Hitting the 5-year milestone is HUGE and I couldn't be happier to celebrate my friend as she made it through that milestone and continues to build a great business and life that she loves.

CONGRATS, Marilyn!!! Cheers to many many more years to come!
