This year, your support benefits three important funds:
💙Occupational Therapy Student Support Fund – Created in memory of Emily (Burkert) Rocha, Class of 2022, this fund honors her legacy of compassion by supporting OT students facing unexpected challenges or emergencies.
💛Occupational Therapy Leadership Fellowship – Expands access to leadership development, including opportunities for students to present at local, state, and national conferences.
💙Occupational Therapy Student Practice‑Scholar Grant Fund – Provides grants to support scholarly and professional expenses related to Practice Scholar Apprenticeship projects.

Huge shoutout to our faculty member Dr. Jess Salyers, and to occupational therapist and researcher Dr. Emily Rich, along with our Cohort 2027 hybrid OT students, for leading the redesign of the 2025 AZ Summit case.
The AZ Summit is an annual interprofessional education event held on the Phoenix Bioscience Core campus that brings students from multiple health professions together to strengthen communication, teamwork, and understanding of each provider’s role in patient‑centered care. This year’s redesigned case centered on complex conditions including EDS, MCAS, and POTS, with expert providers from OT, PT, PA, Nursing, and Counseling contributing to create a meaningful, outcomes‑driven learning experience.
