Blue Corn Bakery Placed 2nd with only a single entry this afternoon at the frybread cook off in the unique recipe category.

I am so thankful for the opportunity I was given.
Let me tell you making frybread in 105 degree weather wasn’t easy. I’m so grateful for my late grandmothers teachings & how I paid close attention to her cooking since I was 6 years old standing on that chair in her kitchen while making bread with her.

I made a blue corn frybread infused with pinions, a homemade sugar free strawberry sauce, fresh strawberries & blueberries along with ice cream topped with more fresh roasted pinions.

I would also like to touch base on how important sobriety and healthy living is. I’m so inspired every time I come out to blue sage when I see all the sober healthy active happy natives.

It is definitely a blessing to be a part of their events they host every month.
