It was felt that the cover to Memoir of Angels edited by AE Reiff did not command the attention it deserved in black and white. An innovative take on the history of Israel as an example of the effects of genetically modified organisms, GMO, hybrid seed, and artificial intelligence begins with Balaam, the Ass and Baal and continues into the effects of the rarefied air of the Novus Angel of the Frankfurt School, Walter Benjamin, and the kill angel movement of Japan. The artist has produced this present cover to match the fire of that prose within.

Newfoundland Books follows a divergent model in some respects. Its first goal is to obtain worthwhile ms. to preserve them from oblivion, regardless of profit, popularity. Another divergence is the fluid existence of our work, which may be, at least it has been, revised after publication. An example would be the covers of Memoir, which has a new cover pictured here, but it is not just the covers, text may also change, making impossible issue states if bibliographers were concerned. In Memoir this has resulted in the full emergence of David Ben-Gurion's ms. for what it is. Where discernible his sources are placed in brackets which also sometimes contain editorial comments and explanations, but the whole ms. is attributed to Ben-Gurion solely.

This is made possible from the close association among the publishing team, the editors, artists, proof readers and authors who communicate back and forth, allowing the time for a finished work to appear in months rather than years. One further nuance is the point of view of the press and its team, which is not dogmatic, prizing coherent prose with, symbolic, surrealist social intent in the formalist fakta view to be explained elsewhere. We are eager also to expand our horizons and to that end now partner with Grand Canal Flyway books who have already issued four titles.
