The Intangible is the first foray of Frolicking Audio into the medium of audio fiction. In total, there are 6 episodes, 39 voice actors, a six-part series with a new edition wrapping each episodes, 14 deaths, 3 extinction events, and two global catastrophes. Each episode has a runtime of approximately 30 minutes and will air between two to four shows each episode.

There's a charismatic devil, a wormhole powered time machine, a toy library, two best friends - a shovel and the hole, a kindly old farmer with a magical cure for warts, an indignant cat, a loving dog, and the show is chock full of tender-loving-atrocities.

I'm excited to produce such a huge project to say the least, although originally this project was intended to be a simple, not-so-complex way to gain some experience with all things audio drama related. Initially (and still), I planned two shows.

Wanting those shows to be presented with a high level of quality, I thought I should learn the ropes a bit in advance and since I had a collection of thematically related stories, it seemed at first like a simple undertaking to find a narrator for each story. Then, I realized maybe an episode or two could be adapted and be acted instead of being narrated. Then I realized they could be both and if there would be acting and not simply narration, of course there needs to be a soundscape, which means audio design, which means foley, and of course this is for the show The Intangible, but Frolicking Audio will be producing at least two more shows and I need a tagline, and of course I've had the idea for including the Snake Oil Salesman as a faux commercial for a long time, and then, and then, and then...

So, here we are. Nearly 40 actors. 20 stories to adapt, cast, direct, edit, foley, process, and produce for release. Surprisingly, things are underway and going quite smoothly at this point!

Although I'm doing all the production myself (which sounds absolutely batsh*t bonkers to see written here), I've been privileged to learn through watching a talented creator run a larger project and who has real-life experience in "showbiz", an awesome group supportive writers whom I've worked with for over a year in critique circles and support circles, and a very close critique partner who understands the intent of my writing better than anyone - all of whom support the project and are there to lend me a hand up the hill. I'm very fortunate, not to mention incredibly stoked!

I don't see much need for a complex website, so instead I've created individual bio sites which are linked together, so it's akin to one stie with multiple pages, just more streamlined and easier to access. Froliking Audio is the production company, so I'll link that address here, and the other is the show's site which should give some idea of what to expect. And finally, there's an invite link to the production server on Discord. All are welcome to stop by and take a peek behind the curtain to see how things operate!

I plan to announce the inaugural release date in the next couple weeks, but right now it's looking like mid-April. (Geez, I better get busy recording my foley asap!!)
