It’s been a season, no?

On NOVEMBER 1,
Bespoke Bodywork will transition to a private, mid-town studio. Stepping into serendipitous opportunity, completing three years in this sober healing journey and opening my heart to all that can be.

Feeling energized and hopeful for what this shift will nurture. Expansiveness will lend to amenities forthcoming, water elements, outdoor sessions and a labyrinth. It will offer peace and privacy to nurture a safe space for trauma informed work and evolved deep dives. We can reach our arms up to the sun, breathe in the eucalyptus and wiggle our toes in the grass.

For now—all October sessions will be at Urban Wellness, soaking in the sweet, tender, autumn sunsets of room 111. I will hold it all deeply, welcoming a gentle transition. So grateful to the community at Urban & knowing I’ll see you still.

Here’s a post almost no one will see or read. Facebook is tough. As a small business starting anew, you are almost relentlessly hassled with promises that if you boost posts and pay money to get your page promoted you will, in turn, get followers. I did it a couple times when I started this page, at the end of last year. It got me a handful of follows. In New Jersey. And England. Not a lot here in Phoenix. In a smaller community where I knew many people, Facebook worked and did make sense but even so, a previous iteration of my business had 7000 follows with over half of them in the United Arab Emirates. It made no sense.

I stopped actively participating with this platform months ago—generally its unattended and not reaching many. Still photos will auto share from Instragram, but I check in here roughly weekly, and each time, I haven’t missed a thing. I have the same few interactions on everything from the same few people in Plattsburgh, NY. (Thanks cheerleaders). Not only that but the platform and apps you are hedged into using (Facebook manager, pages) make it almost impossible for me to find and interact with other small businesses and groups here in my area.

I’ve learned over the last months that Facebook maybe a bit more antiquated in this area, for the demographic I’m trying to reach. Many have moved on to IG and TikTok, long ago. It was described as being “for old people” to me once, lol. I am officially old people.

Since I’m not reaching anyone and Instagram, my website, Google and word of mouth is working out for me, I’m going to go ahead and delete this page in a week. It’ll keep me off Facebook in my personal life too, which is great.
