Groups like your local Chamber Of Commerce, PTA, Garden Club, Hunt Club, Single Moms And Dads, Property owner's Association, VFW, Church, Little League, Soccer Club, Kiwana's, VFW, American Legion, Moose Lodge, Alumni Association, and so on hold meetings where they regularly need speakers. Do some research study and find out all such groups in your area, then call them to volunteer your services as a speaker. You'll have to do some work to prepare a talk essential in subject to their interest ... naturally. But the occasion itself along with the contacts you'll make develop a great networking chance for you. People will be curious about what you do.
