Since June 2025… Chica has been waiting.

Waiting for someone to see her. Waiting for someone to choose her. Waiting for a home that still hasn’t come. And the hardest part? Everyone who meets her says the same thing — she’s “practically perfect in every way.” So how is she still here? 🥺

Chica is a 5-year-old with a heart full of love and a spirit that refuses to be dimmed. She only has one eye… but don’t let that fool you — it doesn’t slow her down one bit. If anything, it makes her even more special. She still plays, runs, loves, and enjoys life to the fullest like nothing is missing.

She’s playful, affectionate, and absolutely lives for belly rubs and her toys. Toss her a squeaky ball and she lights up with joy… sit down next to her and she’ll roll over for tummy scratches, soaking up every second of love. She’s the perfect mix of fun and cuddles — happy, silly, and so full of heart.

Chica loves the simple things:
Rivers to splash in
Toys to chase
Car rides by your side
Snacks (her favorite!)
And maybe even chasing a kite just for fun

She loves life… she just wants someone to share it with.

But instead, she’s still in a kennel. Still being overlooked. Still waiting for someone to see past that one little difference and realize just how incredible she truly is. 💔

Chica isn’t broken. She isn’t less than. She is pure love, pure joy, and a dog who will give you her whole heart without hesitation. All she needs is someone willing to give her a chance.

Say hello to Buddy — a petite 1–2 year old sweetheart with a whole lot of love packed into his 25–30 lb frame! 🐶✨

Buddy came into the shelter in March 2026 and has been patiently waiting for his forever home… but kennel life just isn’t for a loving boy like him 💔 He’s friendly, affectionate, and happiest when he’s close to his people. Expect tail wags, soft eyes, and maybe even a few sweet kisses 💕

🐕 Walks nicely on leash
🦴 Knows “sit”
🤲 Takes treats gently (total gentleman!)
🐾 Has shown no reaction to other dogs
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Kid & cat compatibility unknown

He looks like a cattle dog/Carolina mix—but whatever he is, he is 100% ADORABLE 😍

Buddy is the perfect smaller medium size, making him a great fit for so many homes. He’s easygoing, loving, and just wants a family to call his own 🏡

SENIOR ALERT❌❌🆘

Meet Lobo 🐾 — a very special senior who deserves so much more than a kennel. Lobo is estimated to be 14 years old and has been waiting at Pinal County Animal Care and Control since December 2025. Month after month, he’s watched people come and go… but no one has chosen him. A shelter is no place for a senior dog. He should be spending his golden years on a soft bed, in a quiet home, surrounded by love—not sitting alone in a kennel. 🥺

Despite everything, Lobo remains such a cool old guy. 🐶 He absolutely loves attention and leans into every bit of affection he can get. He’s calm, gentle, and walks beautifully on leash—making him an easy, enjoyable companion to take out and about. 🤍

Lobo does have a few handling sensitivities and prefers not to be picked up, which is understandable at his age. He just needs someone who will respect his space and let him move at his own pace. According to his intake notes, he has previously done well with kids and small dogs and is house trained. There’s no information on how he does with cats.

At his age, time is precious. ⏳ Lobo shouldn’t have to spend another day waiting. He deserves to know what it feels like to be safe, to be cherished, to be home.

Please don’t let him spend his final chapter in a shelter. Come meet him, foster him, or give him the forever home he’s been dreaming of. 🏡💕
