Supreme Court Hears a Major Case on Gun Rights and Domestic Violence (Gift Article) 11/07/2023

The Supreme Court is hearing a pivotal case on gun rights related to domestic violence today. The link below gives details.

It is alarming — and revealing — that justices making potential life or death decisions for others have no understanding of the inner workings of domestic abuse.

For example, one judge has suggested that if gun rights were restricted for domestic abusers it would be a slippery slope for other citizens who speed or don't recycle. As if those infractions are in any way comparable to abuse or murder.

Another judge said there are other ways to protect domestic abuse survivors than restricting gun rights of their abusers, by arresting the abusers and prosecuting them. That's cute. And short sighted. And naive.

How are people with no clue about the system running the system?
