Lymph Rehab
Sometimes preparing for the moment is just as beautiful as the moment itself.
This morning at the retreat, while everyone was downstairs connecting and enjoying each other’s company, I slipped away to the deck to prepare for our lymphatic movement session.
It was quiet. Peaceful. Just me and the mats.
As I placed each mat, I thought about the flow of the class, the space each person would have, and how their bodies would move under the morning sky. There was something so beautiful about slowly moving each mat into its place.
I was happy in that moment.
But if I’m honest, I was also already thinking 10 steps ahead.
Looking back, I wish I had savored it a little longer.
We spend so much of our lives preparing for what’s next that we forget to fully be where we are. Yet these in-between moments matter too. They are part of the experience, part of the journey, and often where the quiet magic lives.
A reminder for myself today: don’t rush through the preparation. Be there for it. Feel it. Enjoy it.
Because sometimes the moments before are just as meaningful as the moment we’ve been working toward.
There are so many resources out there for breast cancer survivors, those living with lymphedema, and anyone wanting to support their lymphatic system.
The problem is they’re not all in one place or we don’t know where to find them.
That’s what I’m building.
This corkboard is a physical reminder of what Lymph Rehab is working toward, a real hub where you can walk in and actually find what you need,
whether you’re in active recovery, managing lymphedema long term, or just trying to take better care of your body.
If you know of a resource that belongs on this board, drop it in the comments.
