🚨 Financial mistakes that you must to avoid if you are in a serious relationship⬇

❌NOT TALKING MONEY WITH YOUR PARTNER🙅
Talk to your partner about the budget. Be transparent about your income, and involve each other in achieving all the goals you have, small or big. Combine your finances and attack the debt together, build the savings together and enjoy life together.

❌EXPENSIVE WEDDINGS 👰💎🤵
I am not against weddings, I love weddings and everything that they bring such as cake and food. 😂As a financial adviser I love working with young couples that are starting out and one of the typical conversations I always hear is "I wish we would have met you before so we could have spent our money considering all our goals not just our wedding." Last thing you want is to have to postpone a goal that could have happened but because you overspent you now you have to wait. Example, having to move into your in-laws after the wedding when you could have put a down payment for a home or at least get your own apartment.

❌GOING ALL OUT ON KID'S BIRTHDAYS 🥳🎈
Kid's birthdays are always fun. Watching them express all their emotions when they open presents are very fulfilling as a parent. I'm going to be really transparent with you. Unfortunately, one of the biggest mistakes I have personally made was spending easily $1,000+ for a one-year-old who was sleeping half the party! 😅 Some people argue "but the memories", ask your 1-year-old if they remember anything? I think back and wish I would have taken half that budget, put those $500, and invested them for him. Not saying to not celebrate your child's birthday, just sharing some personal lessons I have learned.

❌OVERSPENDING ON FAMILY CARS & LEISURE 🚗🛑
This is a 5 to a 7-year commitment that ends up becoming a financial headache. Nothing wrong with upgrading your family SUV, Sedan, or Truck. But does it have to be a brand new zero miles, deck-out fully equipped model? Or can be a lightly used 30k to 50k, 2 to 3-year-old model? You will save an incredible amount of money, usually 20% sometimes even 30% in depreciation alone! Be smart, think logically not emotionally.

As a husband, a father, and a business partner with my wife Reyna there are conversations we have had. We want to make sure you can learn from our mistakes and also our insight, not only as a family but as financial professionals. Let's win together!
