Yesterday marked a major milestone with the ribbon cutting for the Old City Market Street Improvements Project in Philadelphia’s historic district.

Urban proudly served as the lead design firm for this transformative project, commissioned by the City of Philadelphia Government Office of Transportation and Infrastructure Systems (OTIS). Together, we helped reimagine one of America’s oldest and most iconic corridors into a safer, more accessible, and more vibrant public space.

The event brought the community together to hear from leaders and partners, including Mayor Cherelle L. Parker; Councilman Mark Squilla; Michael Carroll, City of Philadelphia Government; Job Itzkowitz, Old City District; Bill Marrazzo, Independence Historical Trust.
