Some of you may know that I have nightmare disorder. I would say I have nightmares at least 5/7 nights of the week. I dreamt of this one last night, but something was different! Usually I am so terrified and wake up as if I didn’t have any restful sleep at all. This time, I looked at the creature, knowing I was supposed to be scared, but I managed to laugh it off and leave the room. Sometimes I’m lucky enough to know when my dream is going to turn into a nightmare, which allows me to go a different direction. But in this one I was already in one. I’ve never had a moment like this in a nightmare. A part of me feels brave. The visual may be stuck in my mind, but it doesn’t scare me because I know I escaped it. For once I had a restful sleep after a nightmare
