The Supreme Court gave Trump immunity from criminal prosecution.
Then it handed him control of the Justice Department.
Here's what he did with it.
A federal jury found Trump liable for sexually abusing E. Jean Carroll. Two juries awarded her nearly $90 million. The evidence was sufficient. The verdict stood.
Trump's DOJ just opened a criminal investigation into E. Jean Carroll.
The man found liable for assaulting her is using the power of the federal government to prosecute her. The Supreme Court built the legal architecture that lets him do it.
This is why we launched Unpack Our Courts — the campaign to reform and rebalance the Supreme Court of the United States.
The court that handed Trump immunity. The court that empowered his DOJ. The court that has to be unpacked before this gets worse.

He is not paying them back out of loyalty. He is paying them because he needs them again.
Donald Trump created a $1.8 billion slush fund, paid from your tax dollars, to compensate the January 6th insurrectionists he pardoned, the election deniers who tried to steal the 2020 election, and every ally who helped him try to stay in power illegally.
SCOTUS made it possible. It's time.

Is this what Democracy looks like? Help us build the firewall of state Supreme Courts to stop MAGA’s voter disenfranchisement and election rigging schemes.
Today, the Court’s extremist conservative majority further gutted the Voting Rights Act in a decision the AP described like this:
“The Supreme Court on Wednesday struck down Louisiana’s second majority Black congressional district in a decision that could open the door for Republican-led states to eliminate Black and Latino electoral districts that tend to favor Democrats and affect the balance of power in Congress.”
Our nation’s highest court, the one that is supposed to uphold the Constitution and protect our rights has been captured by ideological extremists.
❌They’ve sided with Trump - including giving him freedom from accountability
❌They’ve eroded our rights (Dobbs)
❌They’ve empowered the billionaire-funded dark money groups that have stolen our government and broken our politics. (Citizens United)
❌They’ve sided with corporate power over people’s rights time and again.
