Turkey Day Task #2 - Ice, Ice Baby
1. Give kiddos an assortment of diced fruit and herbs (or let them do the dicing, depending on age). Great options include pomegranate seeds, mangos, berries, apples, rosemary, or thyme.
2. Encourage kids to dream up fun combinations of the fruit and herbs, and add them to empty ice cube trays.
3. Fill the trays with water and freeze for a festive holiday drink addition!
Turkey Day Task #1 - Butter Making
1. Using a Tupperware or glass jar with a secure lid, fill the container half full of heavy whipping cream.
2. Ask your kiddos to shake the container until they can't hear or feel any liquid moving (roughly 4-6 minutes, depending on jar size).
3. Open the container and pour off any remaining liquid.
4. Transfer the butter to a small dish and place on your Thanksgiving table!
(Optional: Kiddos can snip some chives or pick some thyme leaves to make herbed butter. Simply mix the herbs into the butter. Fancy!)
