It’s almost the Fourth of July, and CIS participants are helping set the mood for summer fun in their jobs around the city!

It’s not summer without a trip to the pool with friends or family and Janine’s got the bases covered on that front. She works at a much-loved local swimming haunt, where she checks in participants of the pool’s summer programs and helps ensure a safe and fun environment for all the pool-goers.

Need some tips on supplies for your Fourth of July barbecue? Nina’s on top of it in her first summer at GIANT. She’s a key member of the bakery team, where she helps make the baked goods and packages them for customers. For Nina (not pictured), it’s been a particularly fun couple of weeks at work, where she’s enjoying bringing a festive Fourth of July touch to the designs on cookies and cupcakes and helping customers stock up for barbecues and beach trips.

And what’s a summer day without a cold treat to help you cool off? Elijah’s the man to see about that. He works at the Philadelphia Zoo in the zoo’s iconic ice cream spot, Scoop Shack. He’s pictured here sending a customer on their way with a frosty and delicious ice cream sandwich.
