🇺🇸On this episode of American FLOTUS, historian Katherine A. S. Sibley joins host Alan Lowe to discuss First Lady Florence Harding: Behind the Tragedy and Controversy.

From her youth in Ohio to the halls of the White House, Florence always showed great intelligence and independence, helping create the modern model of active, engaged, and influential First Ladies. Though her time in that role was cut short by the untimely death of her husband and has been affected since by controversy, Florence had an impact that is still seen today.

‼️VOLUNTEERS NEEDED‼️ The Pharmacy Museum is diving into exhibition installation and is seeking help from volunteers during the four days listed here:
- Tues, June 16
- Thurs, June 18
- Wed, June 24
- Thurs, June 25

Tasks will include preparing walls for painting, painting walls, updating case lining fabric, installing shelves, pulling objects from storage, etc. **We will be working in Griffith Hall on the UC campus.

👏🏻 The Department of History received an SJU Collaborative Teaching Innovation Grant for our project titled, “Civics and History Initiative for Educators of the Future.”

Dr. Melissa Chakars, Dr. Katie Sibley, & Dr. Jeff Hyson accepted the award from the Provost on May 20.
